Academy Insurance owner Beyond Doubt Holdings has reached an agreement to acquire Airsports Insurance Bureau.
Airsports Insurance is a Hampshire-based broker that employs 18 staff and looks after 15,000 niche and high net worth (HNW) clients.
The firm will continue to trade under its current brand name as part of the deal.
Martin Tyler, chief executive at Beyond Doubt, said: “We see a gap in the market and are on a journey to build a national broker with a diversified and differentiated customer proposition.
“I’m pleased to welcome the Airsports team to the group and look forward to working together to continue our future growth plan.”
‘Buy and build’
Beyond Doubt is a broking group that operates under the trading names Academy Insurance Services and Premierline.

It acquired Academy in 2023, with Premierline being snapped up from Allianz a year later.
Beyond Doubt said its latest deal formed part of its buy and build growth strategy.
Tyler said: “This is an exciting step in our goal to building a diversified national broking proposition.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
