LitComp ATE profit
LitComp after-the-event (ATE) insurance subsidiary Elite Insurance has delivered an after-tax profit of £428,000 for the 11 months to 30 November 2006, according to the company.
Open deal with Footman
Open GI sealed a four-year deal to provide Footman James with a new IT platform. The contract incorporates the software house's browser-based interface – Open-i and Microsoft Word integrated document creation software. The platform will support 150 users within Footman James, which was acquired by Aon this week for an undisclosed sum.
Marsh modelling leader
Man Cheung has been promoted to leader of Marsh's UK-based modelling, analysis and design team. Cheung will report to Eddie McLaughlin in his new role, which involves leading strategic product development and new business creation.
New QuestGates division
QuestGates is developing a new engineering and technology division in conjunction with RM Adjusting. The division will service both new and existing services under the QuestGates brand.
Zenith moves into GAP
Zenith is underwriting Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) insurance for AA Warranty. The deal marks the Gibraltar based insurer's first move into the GAP market.
20 years of hurricanes
Hurricanes are set to continue at "heightened levels" for the next two decades, according to Dr Steve Smith, senior vice-president of Carvill's ReAdvisory analytical business.
