Hastings chairman also snaps up two golf courses and holiday park
A business consortium led by Hastings chairman Neil Utley has bought a golf club, two golf courses and a holiday park for more than £4m.
The group snapped up the Warren Golf Club, the Bunsay Downs and Badgers pay-and-play courses and the Herbage Park site, all in Essex.
The sale was advised by Christie + Co.
Christie + Co associate director Anthony Jenkins said: “The initial excitement at the instruction was more than matched by the significant and swift interest we received. We’re delighted to have concluded a deal with the consortium led by Neil Utley which secures this superb leisure business.”
Utley also owns Nusic Sounds, the record label that signed former Busted frontman Charlie Simpson.
