Legal expenses provider signs up brokers
Cheadle-based legal expenses provider, MSL, has confirmed contracts with regional independent brokers, Lorica General Insurance and Profile Insurance.
Lorica is a leading player in insurance broking, risk management and employee benefits employing 220 staff across seven nationwide offices. The company has four branches in England and a London-based subsidiary providing cover for theatres.
MSL will provide Lorica with a full accident Management service for clients covered by the company’s KeyStart Plus motor legal expenses product.
Bill Alston, managing director of Lorica, said: “MSL is one of the leading providers of legal expenses products, so it was natural that we would be keen to offer their products. They were our choice because like MSL, we see a competitive advantage in providing the highest levels of service – encouraging recommendation and policy renewal."
Profile Insurance, based in Northamptonshire provides a range of insurance products for clients across the UK. The broker handles a range of cover for all classes of business and is a specialist provider of insurance for modern and classic motorcycles. Profile employs five staff to serve some 5,000 clients.
Mick Jacobs, a partner at Profile said: “There is a strong emphasis on local brokers providing value for money products and reflecting the needs of policyholders. MSL recognise this and understand the demands of local and specialist brokers.”
MSL managing director Nick Garner added: “We have launched a proactive drive to increase our market share and attract and retain new broker clients. Key to this development is designing products and processes that support brokers in building their own business and providing this service to the highest standards.”
MSL manages relationships with more than 900 brokers nationwide and is looking to expand further into the commercial broking market. It said it has continuing plans to introduce new products and expand services, such as compliance support, HR consultancy and business development.
