Lloyd’s insurer strengthens casualty and accident & health teams
Mitsui Sumitomo at Lloyd’s has hired two new underwriters within its casualty and accident and health teams.
Neil Marking (pictured) has been appointed as accident and health underwriter and will report to class underwriter Steve Ranzetta. Marking joins from Chubb where he was UK underwriting manager accident and health.
Jonathan Wye has been appointed as casualty underwriter within the corporate team where he will focus on medium to large corporates and coverholder business. Wye was previously liability underwriting manager (London region) within Brit Insurance’s UK regional operations before its acquisition by QBE.
Mitsui Sumitomo underwriting manager Andrew Dougall said: “Neil and Jonathan are important additions to our underwriting teams.
“Both appointments demonstrate our continuing commitment to the casualty and accident and health markets and our appetite to expand the capabilities and scope of this important portfolio in the UK and internationally.”
