Broker targeting Scottish business after Wendy Lamin hire
Marsh has appointed Wendy Lamin as a development executive in its Financial and Professional (FINPRO) Practice.
Based in Edinburgh, Lamin will advise Scottish financial institutions on managing their risk and insurance portfolios and drive growth among the firm’s existing Scottish client base.
Lamin joins Marsh in Edinburgh from the firm’s office in Brussels, Belgium, where she was a senior client adviser for the FINPRO and Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) Practices for eight years.
Ian McCallum, leader of Marsh’s FINPRO Practice in Scotland, said: “The risk profiles of financial institutions around the world have changed irrevocably as a result of the banking crisis and recession, which has had a significant impact on their insurance requirements.
"Wendy, with her extensive international experience and legal background, will be a tremendous asset to Marsh’s Scottish financial institutions clients in helping them to develop their complex insurance and risk programmes.”
Lamin added: “Edinburgh ranks among the world’s top financial centres. I very much look forward to developing Marsh’s business and helping our clients in what is a very important sector for the Scottish economy.”
