Marsh Incorporated has reorganised its senior executive positions.
Joe Varnas and Tim Mahoney have been promoted to the roles of chief operating officer and Americas regional leader respectively.
Additionally, ING Barings' Michael Whealon has joined Marsh to lead its global technology, media and telecommunications practice group, and Michael Feign has left Bovis Lend Lease to head Marsh's construction industry practice.
And Mark Feur has left Merrill Lynch for the newly created position of Middle Market leader at Marsh.
The changes also mean that Bill Malloy is to leave Marsh at the end of the year as the position of president has been eliminated.
Brian Storms, chairman and chief executive, said: "Our momentum is real and we're beginning to see it reflected in our results. There is a growing sense of excitement and energy in this firm that's been flowing out of an expanded client advisory focus, better technology platforms, and more efficient processes. These improvements — along with our widening footprints in geographic regions like Asia and specialty practices like risk consulting — are key drivers of our long-term growth strategy."
