Markel appoints claims operations director

Markel International has promoted Graeme Veale to claims operations director.

Veale has been promoted from claims operations manager, having joined Markel in June 2008.

Veale's responsibilities will be expanded to include wider operational projects.

Stuart Willoughby, claims director at Markel International, said: “I am delighted to announce Graeme’s promotion which is in recognition of his work around claims performance measurement and management, as well as his involvement in significant projects, such as the claims element of Markel's acquisition of Elliott Special Risks last year and Markel’s influential ECF ‘Time and Motion’ study.”
