Former American Express Insurance chief executive joins claims team
LV= has appointed Chris Rolland as claims director.
Rolland will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of claims within LV=’s general insurance business and will report to chief operating officer Peter Horton.
Prior to joining LV= he was chief executive and vice president of American Express Insurance Services Europe, where he was responsible for running marketing, distribution, relationship management, risk and compliance, underwriting, regulatory controls and operations.
Before joining American Express, Rolland worked for Legal & General and BUPA, holding various senior leadership roles, and was a member of the UK ABI PMI committee. He also holds an MBA, economics degree and various professional qualifications with the Chartered Insurance Institute and Institute of Financial Services.
Horton said: “LV= has gone through significant profitable growth over the last few years and I am delighted to make this key appointment within my team. Chris and I will work hand-in-hand to ensure LV= provides an excellent service to customers making a claim. Chris has extensive experience at a senior level in the industry and I am confident he will be an excellent leader for the claims team.”
