David Gribbon appointed to manage broker relationships
Claims advocate Lorega has further strengthened its sales team with the appointment of David Gribbon to manage the company’s relationships with its panel of brokers in the north of England. Mr. Gribbon has a wealth of experience in the commercial insurance field having been involved at a senior level in both underwriting and business development for AXA.
This follows Lorega’s recent announcement of the appointment of John Sims as CEO who has a clear remit to fuel the growth of the business over the next two years.
Commenting on Mr. Gribbon’s appointment Mr. Sims said: “We are very lucky to have prised David away from AXA and he will be a very valuable member of the team. He not only brings deep and relevant business experience but also very strong broker relationships with many existing Lorega brokers and many that will be new to us.”
Lorega plans to expand significantly in the UK by driving the growing market for providing commercial and personal lines brokers and their policyholders with expert negotiation support in the event of a complex claim. The company has calculated that the total market for its advocacy services and unique Loss Recovery Insurance product is in excess of £200 million in the UK alone.
Lorega is a Managing General Agent and service provider, best known for its pioneering product, Loss Recovery Insurance, which is now sold by more than 300 UK brokers. This unique class of insurance is designed to give the policyholder access to CILA claims negotiators without incurring the cost of expensive fees. The company works with more than 70 chartered loss adjusters who are subject to Lorega’s strict service standard agreement and the charter and bylaws of CILA.
