Lloyd’s Banking Group axes insurance jobs as part of group-wide cuts

Lloyds Banking Group is wielding the axe on 1,600 job roles, with seven coming from its general insurance division.

The rest will come from group operations, wholesale and group executive divisions.

Last year the bank announced it was going to cut 15,000 jobs in total.
