Lloyd's franchise performance director will be announced by Christmas, chief executive Nick Prettejohn told an audience of Lloyd's market players this morning.

It is understood the director will be a non-Lloyd's man but a key figure in the London Market.

Prettejohn told the meeting at Lloyd's Old Library, which discussed the latest developments in the Chairman's Strategy Group (CSG) proposals, that "no formal appointment has yet been made, but we hope to have an announcement in the next two to three weeks."

Sources close to Lloyd's told Insurance Times that an offer has been made and that the proposed director was "just negotiating his severance pay with his present employer."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
