Affinity insurer seals motor partnership
Affinity specialist Junction has announced a new five-year contract with RAC, to provide motor insurance products and services to new and existing customers.
For the first time, Junction has integrated its own customer contact system externally so that calls can be taken by RAC’s existing contact centre, rather than through Junction’s in-house advisors. Documentation fulfilment and pricing, along with other back- and middle- office processes are handled by Junction. The contract includes new business sales and renewals using Junction’s systems throughout.
Junction will support lead insurer Norwich Union, soon to be Aviva, with a bespoke panel of additional underwriters, to ensure maximum quote availability for all customers and highly competitive prices.
In addition, the partnership has devised unique, tailored products to match RAC’s brand. This will include free upgrades for existing RAC members as well as new policy features and benefits.
Saj Arshad, director of RAC membership said: “The RAC brand is recognised for its motoring expertise and ability to provide the right solution for all motorists and has a highly experienced RAC sales, renewals and service team based in Norwich. Junction’s integration with this existing operation will create a brand new business model that retains and builds on that excellent experience and knowledge.
“Coupled with highly flexible platforms, Junction has also been able to offer us the right improvements to our trusted products that will provide even more powerful offerings to our members and existing and new customers.”
Peter Thompson, managing director of Junction, said: “RAC is probably the UK’s most powerful motoring brand, with a heritage of 111 years and a very loyal customer base. The trust that people have for the brand is unrivalled and presents a huge opportunity for growth. But with that trust comes high expectation, and it is vital that product quality and customer service are exceptionally high, to reflect RAC’s brand values. We are working very closely with the RAC team and its advisors to ensure that customers are well looked after.”
