John Hiew has joined Jelf Group as a consultant.
The former HBOS executive director will take responsibility for building on existing services for both new and existing private clients.
Hiew will report directly to Jelf group chief executive Alex Alway in the new role.
Hiew commented: “The financial services marketplace is changing rapidly and I believe the Jelf Group is ideally placed to capitalise on these changes. The group is already synonymous with top-quality private client advice and I am confident that I can help them in establishing their proposition as one of the few clear leaders in the market.”
Alway said: “Our private client division has performed well over the last few years and John has the right experience to make a significant contribution to the future success of this part of the group. We are delighted to have him on board.”
