Wrapping up the festive period, junior reporter Chantal Kapani takes a jolly look back at the year and what she hopes for the year ahead.
For the festive period, Insurance Times turns to its own reporters for some personal reflections on 2023 and what they hope to find under the tree for 2024.
What stood out as your highlight in the insurance industry for 2023?
For me, it was the December Insurance Times awards – the dance floor was alive with people dancing as if there were no tomorrow.
It marked my inaugural awards experience and surpassed all expectations.
The atmosphere in the room was electrifying, although the aftermath required numerous cups of coffee – perhaps going to bed at 2:30 AM was a misstep?
What is your Christmas message for your insurance colleagues?
Wishing all my insurance colleagues a joyous holiday season and a well-deserved rest!
May this festive period bring you relaxation, happiness and a chance to recharge for the exciting challenges ahead.
Cheers to a restful and rejuvenating Christmas! For those who do not celebrate Christmas, may you also enjoy a well-deserved break!
I eagerly anticipate hearing more of your stories and gaining further insights into the intricacies of the industry in 2024.
What do you hope to find under the industry’s Christmas tree for 2024?
A greyhound would be nice… Joking aside, within the insurance industry, there are dedicated individuals striving to present it as an appealing career option.
The best gift would be widespread recognition of these efforts and for people to perceive a career in insurance in the same fashion to professions like accountants and solicitors.
May the industry’s value and the contributions of its professionals be acknowledged and appreciated.
Beyond the world of insurance, I've ventured into creative pursuits that promote inclusivity and representation.
My written work has found a home in publications such as Orange Magazine, Peahce Project, and others.View full Profile
