Independent broker Erskine Murray looks to grow its presence in the North of England as it acquires Offley Insurance.
Independent broker Erskine Murray lhas bought Cheshire-based broker Offley Insurance.
Erskine Murray commercial director Alan Wheeler confirmed that the purchase was part of a wider plan to acquire more UK brokers, with a policy of encouraging current management to “remain at the forefront of their business”.
Over the past year the Leicester-based broker has also invested in technology and developed several specialisms in an effort to compete in what Wheeler calls a “saturated market”.
Offley Insurance owner and chief executive Peter Morrissey said: “Erskine Murray has led the way in bringing new opportunities to their client base by introducing specialisms and new partnerships, which our customers will now be able to benefit from.
“We knew that in order to provide the best customer service it was important to be part of a larger organistaion. We equally wanted to be part of a vision that put the customer at the heart of what they do, therefore we knew that Erskine Murray were right for us and our customers.
