LV=, RSA and Hiscox among the winners at the third annual awards
Ageas’s Duncan Ross has taken the Outstanding Insurer Claims Individual of the Year award at tonight’s Insurance Times UK Claims Excellence Awards.
Held at Madame Tussauds in London, the awards highlight the commitment of individuals, teams and companies that deliver at the highest level in the claims sector.
Also among the top winners was Hamilton Leigh claims executive Carina Garner, who picked up the Outstanding Broker Claims Individual of the Year – Commercial Lines award.
LV= scooped three of the 10 awards for Motor Claims Initiative of the Year and Claims Technology Initiative of the Year.
Introducing the evening, Insurance Times publishing director Shân Millie said: “This is our third year and, once again, the quantity and quality of entries has been astounding. Looking around this room, it’s clear that the Claims Excellence Awards have earned their place on your priority list again this year.”
Commenting on the UK claims industry, Insurance Times executive editor Saxon East said: “The rise in motor bodily injury claims, in addition to the surge of claims amid the economic downturn, has really focused the minds of insurance companies on the importance of a strong claims department.
“Insurers know that a high-quality claims handling department is key to winning the hearts and minds of brokers and customers,” he said.
