D&O product also launched for BVCA
Heath Lambert has created a platform for members Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) which allows clients to buy their own commercial insurance online as opposed to getting quotes from account handlers telephonically. “We have created an equivalent of an aggregator. After looking at various IT platforms and systems, we have come up with a platform for RIBA which allows their own membership to put their details in and get quotes from four different carriers,” said Simon Brookes, executive director at Heath Lambert.
The broker denies it is making redundancies in its PI team as a result of the revamp and that instead it was actively recruiting. Brookes added: “We are looking for individuals that have books of business or individuals that can add strength to the division.”
But Brookes admitted that some employees are currently under consultation, which began last month. “The reason behind that is that as companies evolve we look at different skill sets and people’s capabilities. We are going in one direction and some people may not be suitable for those areas. It is a continuous evaluation of the company and the staff.”
Heath Lambert has also launched a new D&O product for the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA). Brookes said the product was still in its infancy and that carriers were being added.
