Jim Lorimer named strategic development director.
Jim Lorimer has been named strategic development director for Heath Lambert Insurance Services (HLIS), the group’s personal lines division.
The is in addition to Lorimer's existing position as chief information officer for the insurance broker and employee benefits consultant group as a whole. The move is in response to the personal lines division's growth in new clients and partners, as well as investment in various operations and e-commerce infrastructure that has supported the rapid deployment of new products and schemes.
Mike Bruce, group managing director, said: “This change is a further example of us focusing our resources on the parts of the business where the greatest impact can be achieved. I’m convinced that adding Jim’s talents to our established and highly regarded personal lines business will open up a wide range of new opportunities.”
In his role as chief information offer, Lorimer has worked closely with the management team of the personal lines division in a number of technology projects. But Heath Lambert said embedding him within HLIS will provide greater focus and pace to the implementation of key strategic projects and in identifying new distribution channels, and extending the operation’s market reach and product range, especially using e-commerce platforms and other emerging technologies.
