Network unveils second member in Scotland
Scottish broker GS Group will leave Willis Network and join Brokerbility in April.
The commercial lines broker has offices in Perth, Glasgow, Falkirk and Dundee and manages around £18m GWP. It will be Brokerbility’s second member in Scotland after it signed MacKay Corporate last year.
With GS Group, Brokerbility now has 37 members which between them place £560m of premiums.
GS Group managing director George Stubbs said: “Brokerbility is clearly the best proposition to help grow our business whilst remaining staunchly independent. It has a clear strategic vision, superior insurer partnerships and strong leadership team in place which makes it the ideal partner for us”.
Brokerbility managing director Ian Stutz said: “We are delighted to welcome GS Group to our exclusive group. This means we have delivered on our manifesto commitment to continue the Brokerbility footprint in Scotland. It also signals our intention to attract more high quality independent brokers in Scotland who share our ethos and who can add value to our group.”
A Willis spokesman said: “Willis has enjoyed a strong and fruitful relationship with GS Group. While GS Group has benefitted immensely from being part of the Willis Network they have decided at this time to take their business in a different direction. We thank them for their participation in the Network and wish them well for the future.”
