Groupama is close to signing two new deals as part of its revamped distribution strategy.
Head of intermediary solutions Kate Mutter said the insurer was finalising a "specialist home deal", which would be worth £3m-£4m premium income in its first year. She said it was also involved in a "very interesting" small commercial deal.
Mutter joined from AXA on 18 June to complete Groupama's new sales and distribution team.
As head of intermediary solutions, she will oversee the company's ten key account managers and its Manchester servicing team.
"My role is to organise the sales element of the distribution strategy," Mutter said.
Groupama announced its new distribution strategy, under distribution and customer services director Amanda Blanc, in January.
It has since signed new distribution deals with Towergate Stafford Knight Entertainment and Composite Legal Expenses.
