Insurer receives top marks from IIP.
Groupama Insurances has earned top scores under the Investors in People (IIP) accreditation framework based on successful people management.
Following a six-week analysis of the company by IIP assessors, the insurer earned a three-year IIP accreditation after achieving the highest possible standard for five out of 10 indicators. It was also above the basic standard in all categories but one.
Paul Picknett, corporate services director for Groupama Insurances said: “The quality and performance of our workforce is critical to the success of our business and this latest IIP accreditation really demonstrates the investment and value we place on our employees. In many areas of the profile we have exceeded our own expectations and are delighted with the progress we have made.”
He added: “The IIP assessment was also useful in that it confirmed the areas we had already identified for improvement, giving us valuable reassurance that we had made the right choices to strengthen our people management further. As a result of our ongoing improvement, the assessors are recommending Groupama is put forward as an IIP Champion – a fantastic endorsement of everything we have done and continue to do to make Groupama a great place to work.”
IIP officials looked in detail at 10 different indicators of successful people management such as business strategy, management effectiveness, empowerment and involvement, and continuous improvement.
The IIP called Groupama a "great place to work" and noted its focus on placing its values at the heart of the organisation. The report also found that Groupama’s managers and team leaders are seen as accessible and approachable, as well as encouraging a culture of trust and inclusion.
