McEwan to head Scotland and Northern Ireland regions at Giles
Giles has raided Towergate to appoint Alan McEwan as its new regional managing director for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
McEwan has spent the last 10 years at Towergate where he established and led their Scottish broking business and most recently managed the development of their UK retail acquisition activity and pipeline.
Giles chief executive Brendan McManus said: “I’m thrilled we have been able to persuade Alan to join the team.
“He brings a vast amount of experience in leadership in the region and also in M&A, and I’m excited to be working with him. He is really going to be able help us to fulfill our growth ambitions”.
McEwan said: “I’ve been really impressed with the plans and ambition that the Giles Group has and I can’t wait to be part of the next chapter in such a great success story.”
McManus started work as chief executive of Giles last month and is expected to make a number of new hires as he looks to bolster the business. Managing director Sarah Lyons and UK sales director John McLaren-Stewart have since left the business.
