Broker wants to “leverage combined strengths” of investments in regional market
Broking group Arthur J Gallagher has created two new regional management roles in the Midlands to drive growth in the region.
Steve Fletcher has been promoted to regional sales and marketing director from corporate account director. He will lead sales growth and expansion for the business across the Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester and Nottingham offices.
Fletcher joined Gallagher in September 2011 shortly after the acquisition of Heath Lambert, where he was responsible for servicing and developing a portfolio of clients.
Gary Carroll has been given a wider extensive geographic remit in his appointment as regional client service director. He will be responsible for all the Gallagher branches in the Midlands area.
Carroll was previously the founder and partner of Birmingham-based broker Midland Risk Management, which he ran for more than 25 years before selling to Giles and becoming the Birmingham branch manager.
Regional managing director Peter Matthews said the appointments would help to bolster Gallagher’s presence in the Midlands as the UK retail division focused on the integration of the Oval and Giles businesses.
Matthews said: “As we look to leverage the combined strengths of our major investments in the UK regional broking market, the extensive knowledge of Steve and Gary will be invaluable.
“Their strong commercial backgrounds, serving a wide range of varied industry sectors, will give both our clients and people confidence in our ability to continue delivering tailored, cost-effective and appropriate risk transfer solutions.”
