Paul Bowyer becomes UK claims management director.
GAB Robins has announced the appointment of Paul Bowyer as Claims Management Director in the UK.
Bowyer joins GAB Robins from Norwich Union, where he was Head of Recoveries, Liability Dispute (Motor) and Field Force. Previously, Bowyer held senior positions with Hill House Hammond Ltd, CGU Plc and Commercial Union.
In a statement GAB Robins said Bowyer would be responsible for the operational management and performance of GAB Robins’ Claims Management Service Line, which includes two UK service centres, an offshore transcription service centre, Robins Affinity Management (RAM), a recoveries team, and counter-fraud screening.
Mike Jones, chief operating officer, GAB Robins UK said: “His claims and supply management expertise will be a valuable asset to the Claims Management Service Line supporting our clients and business operations.
He added: “This appointment completes a review of our principle service lines and their management that we began at the end of 2007.” According to their statement, GAB Robins has aimed to build upon the quality and efficiency of their service and develop new services to meet future needs.
Earlier this year, GAB Robins announced the launch of the Property Service Line, headed by Ian Woodhead, which has aligned UK field adjusting and fraud investigation services and the appointments of Robert Binning as Director of its Major and Complex Loss Service Line in the UK and Bill Jeffery as Subsidence Operations Director, part of the Building Services Line.
