The FSB is to launch a Safety Network Scheme as part of an ongoing programme to assist small firms suffering under escalating insurance premiums.

It said the scheme, developed through Folgate Warren Hill and NIG, would provide small business with an affordable method of differentiating themselves from cowboy operators.

The FSB said it was one of the first business groups to submit a scheme for assessment by the ABI under its “Making the Market Work” initiative.

Giles Quarterly of the ABI said: “We encourage all insurers to take note of the valuable work that the FSB is doing in conjunction with Folgate Warren Hill to improve health and safety and bring genuine business benefits to its members.
