The Government and the finance sector are among the most at risk sectors that are at risk of criminal targeted cyber-attacks, a report has revealed.
According to a report by Control Risks, the number of criminal targeted cyber-attacks doubled in the year to October 2015.
More than a third of cyber-attacks were aimed at the government while around a quarter were targeted at the finance industry.
The research predicted that hardware compromise would be the most impactful cyber-attack technique in 2016, while ransomware and data leaks also ranked within the top five, City AM reports.
