Insurer panel will include big names and niche underwriters
Direct motor insurer Esure will launch its two new broking brands - esure broker and Sheilas’ Wheels Broker - in November.
The new broking ventures are designed to serve customers that are attracted to the esure and Sheilas’ Wheels direct insurance brands but who would typically fall outside the companies’ strict underwriting focus.
“This move enables us to use the pulling power of these brands to give us access to the whole market rather than just the middle market where our own policies have such strength,” said esure chief operating officer Stuart Vann in a statement.
The panel of insurers for the new broking ventures includes big name firms such as AXA and Ageas, as well as specialist underwriters such as KGM and Sabre.
“We hand-picked insurers for our broker panel that complement one another, offering policies to suit a very wide range of drivers,” esure broker and Sheilas’ Wheels Broker managing director Jon Morrell said.
Esure broker and Sheilas’ Wheels Broker will be available on aggregators. The brands will be accessible on Gocompare from launch, with the other three main aggregators being added over the next three months.
Esure has a 49% stake in Gocompare.
