In a new collaboration, accountants Ernst & Young and the CII will be working together to share knowledge, deliver training and develop joint thought leadership for members of the CII Faculty of Underwriting.
Bringing together the practice and insurance industry expertise of Ernst & Young and the CII respectively, the partnership will be led by Andy Baldwin, Ernst & Young insurance partner, and Fiona Andrews, CII head of general insurance faculties. In addition, Andy Baldwin will join as a member of the faculty's board.
Andy Baldwin from Ernst & Young commented: “People often talk about unprecedented change in our industry. Looking at the breadth and scale of the distribution shifts we are witnessing, combined with the huge amounts of risk, financial and capital data now available to the underwriter to help quantify and assess risk, I believe we could be about to embark on an exciting new phase of industry development.
