insureblue for men with prostate and testicular cancer.
Equity Insurance Group has launched new personal lines products aimed at men diagnosed with prostate and testicular cancers.
insureblue follows the successful introduction of insurepink, Equity's travel insurance policy for people with breast cancer. It has been developed to target the 37,000 men diagnosed each year and allow them to obtain competitive travel cover.
Equity also plans to donate £1 for every travel and £10 for every motor, home and motorcycle policy sold to the 'Everyman' campaign, which funds research into the causes and cures of prostate and testicular cancers.
Fiona Macrae, insureblue's creator and Equity executive, said: "Policies reflect the actual, rather than the perceived risk of travelling with male cancers. It takes individual circumstances into account when calculating a fair premium and dispenses with the often intrusive and insensitive medical questioning faced by sufferers when seeking quotes."
Neil Utley, Equity chief executive officer, added: "insureblue marks the beginning of a personal lines product development programme intended to encompass many other pre-existing medical conditions."
