Zurich will provide the product and pricing via the white-labelled site to EasyJet customers
EasyJet’s travel insurance proposition will now be exclusively underwritten by Zurich.
The new arrangement is in partnership with Collinson Group, who will support sales, as well as customer servicing, claims and assistance.
Zurich will provide the product and pricing via the white-labelled site to easyJet customers.
It will underwrite for the airline in 13 European markets.
Zurich says that “Alongside cancellation, domestic and comprehensive insurance, customers will be presented with persona-based products if their booking matches the profile for specific covers like winter sports, business travel, or sports such as cycling and golf.
“Depending on the persona purchasing the flights, bespoke add-ons will also be offered such as enhanced gadget cover for families. Customers can also buy travel insurance separately from flights through the easyJet website.”
Arslan Hannani, head of market management at Zurich UK said: “We really believe the future of insurance in key areas like travel is based on the quality of partnerships we commit to. Partnering with a well-known and respected brand like easyJet creates a great opportunity to provide their extensive customer base with insurance that’s closely tailored to their individual needs.”
Greg Lawson, head of travel insurance at Collinson added: “The partnership between Collinson and Zurich, a highly respected global brand, highlights the combined strengths in terms of customer understanding, innovative technology, dynamic insurance products, claims services and impactful marketing.”
The 13 European markets are the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Portugal, Greece, Denmark, Czech Republic and the Netherlands.
