Hub will be aimed at large corporate and multi-national companies
Cunningham Lindsey UK has launched an international claims hub for global claims handling among mid to large corporate and multinational companies.
The London-based hub provides businesses with a single, geographical contact point for reporting claims regardless of insurance class or where they happen in the world.
The hub will be headed by Amanda Brooks, who formerly implemented several claims management programmes for Cunningham Lindsey’s Global Third Party Administration (TPA) Operations.
Brooks said: “Having a wholly owned network of offices we are able to provide an integrated service to major companies across multinational locations. The hub allows us to realise the benefits for our customers.
“With Cunningham Lindsey’s network covering more than 60 countries, we can offer a truly global corporate claims handling service and provide companies with a new level of claims management.”
Director, Corporate and Technical Risks, Jonathan Clark said: “In practice, one call to the UK hub means the most appropriate team for the type of claim is deployed on a local level, while all the necessary co-ordination is being handled from one central office. This allows Amanda and the Hub to gather knowledge from dealing with similar claims around the network and apply it immediately to new losses. The result is a reduced claims lifecycle and lower costs.
“This is vital for organisations having to deal with worldwide claims, as they are often unable to gain a detailed picture of their losses across multiple locations, not least because that information is time consuming to pull together. Dealing with one international location as opposed to individual countries helps companies to manage their claims programme more effectively.”
In addition, companies can receive attention via the hub’s out-of-hours claims helpline service of Cunningham Lindsey’s specialist practice groups. These comprise international teams of loss adjusters experienced in particular sectors – including marine, product recall, mining, power and construction .
Brooks added: “With the increasing practice among brokers to devise worldwide insurance and risk management plans that supersede local arrangements, we can support the programme for handling claims with a central hub within a truly global network. The level of support and MI we can provide from our UK Corporate hub, means companies can develop their risk programme supported by our expertise.”
