In a move to expand its French business, Crawford & Company has acquired three French adjusters, Cabinet Mayoussier, Cabinet Tricaud and TMA.
It said the first two companies operated in a similar line of business to its existing French subsidiary Crawford Sudexa.
Crawford intends to integrate the management of the two businesses with Sudexa to create a base in Southeastern France servicing volume claims for composite and mutual insurers.
TMA will be merged into Crawford France’s industrial risk business.
The new French operations will be renamed Crawford TSM, said the company, and it will become a full member of the Elex network, which has 23 member firms.
Under the deal, Crawford will become an exclusive Elex partner for industrial and international risks.
Serge Mayoussier, owner of Cabinet Mayoussier and president of Elex, has been appointed as country manager for Crawford in France.
Glyn Symonds, who retains leadership of Crawford’s industrial, corporate and international risks business, and Jacques Berger who will lead the company’s personal and commercial lines business will report directly to Mayoussier.
