Growth continues with three new branches
Coversure, the Huntingdon based broking franchise organisation has announced the opening of 3 new branch offices in Chesterfield, Hertford and Andover.
The new offices, which bring the total number of Coversure sites to 89 ,will be owned and managed almost exclusively by women.
Joining Graham Collings, a former Swinton franchisee, in Chesterfield will be Suzanne Moss, whilst Anoushka Lynes, another former Swinton employee has opened in Andover.
They are joined by Alex Bard & Charlotte Smart, a mother and daughter partnership in Hertford.
Nick Hollands, Coversure’s franchise director, said: “Whilst we are always pleased to help any suitably experienced individual to establish their own brokerage it is particularly satisfying to do so against a background of fairly negative press about traditional general insurance broking.
“We keep hearing about new aggregator and other web based businesses springing up, but I have yet to hear any evidence that they are what the public really want.
"Insurance is a complicated subject, yet as an industry we seem happy to persuade the public that it is a good idea to arrange cover themselves. I wouldn’t do it and I have worked in the industry for over 30 years!”
“The simple fact that Coversure, along with our contemporaries in the broking market, are able to find a demand to satisfy in the High Street would seem to be at odds with the popular view so often espoused in the industry press that a price driven, non-advised route is the one the public want us to take.”
“It seems to me that there will always be a demand for advice given on a face to face basis and I am pleased that so many people in the industry feel that the time is right to support broking generally and start up broking businesses in particular.”
