Insurer is hiring to strengthen underwriting team in the area
The regional teams of Covéa Insurance and recent acquisition Sterling Insurance have moved into a single office in Manchester.
The Sterling team have moved into Covéa’s regional office in Deansgate.
No jobs will be affected by the move, and a Covéa spokeswoman said that the company is currently hiring to strengthen its underwriting team in the area.
The office change is the latest stage of Covéa’s integration of high-net-worth insurer Sterling. Covéa announced in December last year that it was buying the company, and received FCA approval for the deal in February this year.
Covéa said the combined regional trading team in Manchester will be able to offer brokers a wider range of products than they had previously, which could create new trading opportunities for the brokers working with both businesses.
Covéa commercial lines and high-net-worth director Simon Cooter said: “Combining our Manchester teams on a single site allows them to start working together to ensure that we can provide the best possible local service to our brokers and supports the continued growth of our already strong portfolio in the Manchester region.
“Our primary focus is on building a business around the needs of our broker customers and the talented people we have in the organisation; as such, bringing our teams together now is another important milestone in ensuring we do that and is further evidence of our planned ongoing investment in the regional market place.”
