Brian the robot to feature in festive advertising campaign
Confused.com is set to launch the first in a series of Christmas-themed adverts featuring mascot Brian the Robot.
The first advert will air on 1 December.
The adverts will show Brian the Robot getting to grips with festive traditions at an office Christmas party.
Brian encounters several awkward moments including at the photocopier, where he innocently stumbles upon a colleague ‘taking a seat’ on the piece of office equipment.
This isn’t the first time that Brian has hit the headlines.
Last month the advertising standards authority decided not to uphold 137 complaints about an “offensive” TV advert in which Brian appears to interrupt a couple’s oral sex session in their car to tell them how much they could save on car insurance.
The suite of 10-second adverts will air throughout December.
Confused.com marketing director Joby Russell said: “At this time of year, our TV screens are flooded with festive-themed adverts, talking about the magic and wonder of Christmas. However, we wanted to give our customers something different, a little bit of light-hearted humour to help enjoy the holidays – and what better way to do so than watching Brian the Robot enjoy his first office Christmas party!”
The campaign will integrate social media and encourage viewers to engage with the advert using Facebook, Twitter and YouTube among others.
