Insurance software provider insurE-com said yesterday that its newly acquired broker system, The Agency Manager (TAM), had accelerated its year-to-date growth by over 1000% in terms of gross written premium (GWP).

The company said since it had taken over TAM, 141 commercial lines brokerages had migrated to the system, bringing with them over £500m in commercial lines and £100 million in personal lines business.

TAM is a back office client administration and management system for commercial lines brokers. InsurE-com acquired exclusive UK distribution, support and development rights for the system, from its US developers, Applied Systems, on 20 May 2002. Until then, the TAM rights in the UK had been held by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).

InsurE-com said the migration had been driven by TEAMONe, the user group for UK intermediaries using TAM software, during the annual TEAMONe conference.

InsurE-com president Chris Newman said: "It has been extremely encouraging to witness intermediaries signing up with insurE-com for The Agency Manager.

"We will continue to build a strong relationship with all those involved to guarantee TAM's future as one of the UK's leading back office commercial lines systems."
