Claims People Group plc have reported a narrowed first half-year loss.
The first half pre-tax loss was £100,452 against a loss of £499,249 as turnover increased from £68,015 to £533,469.
However Claims People said it expects further improvements in the remainder of the current year.
They said that against the first 6 months of 2001, there had been client gains this year.
Defending its loss, the group said it had continued to press on with a programme of developing additional sources if business. Recent expansions include British Telecom and Heath Lambert.
Chairman John French said: "The group has continued to progress its programme of developing additional sources of business. The Board believes that the group is well placed to take advantage of the changes occurring in the Insurance sector."
The company said it plans to use the £323,750 from last month's placing to develop these operations.
