Talent Initiative has won a marketing award from the Association of Graduate Recruiters
The CII's industry-led talent initiative has won a marketing award at the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) awards ceremony.
The Talent Initiative won the award for 'the best integrated marketing campaign.’
The judges, including industry figures and representatives from student bodies for the 'Integrated Marketing Campaign Award' were looking for a campaign that had delivered against objectives and had relevance to its target market.
Chris Hanks, general manager, Allianz Cornhill and chair of the Talent steering committee commented: "We are delighted to have won an AGR Award, being such a new initiative it is a great achievement. The marketing of our campaign is deliberately designed to engage with students by portraying insurance in a way which is exciting, modern, relevant and showing how large and diverse the industry is. We know that the initiative is changing the perceptions of graduates towards our industry and we plan to step up this activity. Later this year we will also be expanding the initiative to target school leavers."
Terry Hayday of the Lloyd's Market Association (LMA) and member of the steering committee, added: "I am delighted the CII Talent Initiative has gained this recognition from the UK recruitment sector. Changing the perception of insurance is important for the long term survival of the profession, and the Lloyd's and London market needs to attract the best of the next generation."
Elliot Lane, CII Director of Talent Initiative said: "It's fantastic that we have beaten a number of major UK organisations, such as retailer Argos and the intelligence service GCHQ, as well as professional services firms and investment banks which all have significantly bigger budgets."
