CIA Insurance has opened CIA Affinity Services in Huddersfield to handle its home, travel, bike and motor insurance business.
The Rugby-based general insurer specialises in niche markets.
Huddersfield operations manager Marcel Rafferty said CIA decided to open the new "contact centre" to combat the rise of call centres that "dehumanise" the customer.
"Our research shows that the public are becoming increasingly unhappy with this cattle-market approach to their insurance," he said.
Rafferty said all staff had also received training so they could deal with any type of query on any field of insurance.
