Wilkinson to focus on cargo accounts

Geoff Wilkinson

Lloyd’s insurer Chaucer has appointed Geoff Wilkinson as cargo class underwriter in the marine division of Chaucer Syndicate 1084.

Wilkinson has worked in both the Lloyd’s and company markets for more than 25 years at companies including Swiss Re, Commercial Union, RSA and Lloyd’s syndicates.

He will focus on the cargo accounts and will work with class underwriter Tom Shearman to enhance broker access.

Syndicate 1084 production and marine head Andrew Voke said: “Welcoming Geoff to the team to support Tom Shearman will increase our coverage of cargo and specie markets and enhance the level of service we provide to our brokers.

“In addition, given Geoff’s extensive experience in the market, he will provide valuable guidance and leadership in the continuing development of the team.”

Wilkinson said: “Having spent a number of years in the company market, I am really looking forward getting back to the floor at Lloyd’s, working with my broker network to help develop Chaucer’s cargo and specie accounts.”
