Chaucer appoints Andrew Voke as head of marine
Chaucer Syndicates has appointed Andrew Voke as head of marine, with responsibility for the continued development of the Marine Division of Chaucer Syndicate 1084.
Chaucer said Voke possesses a wealth of international industry experience, including the development of broker and client relationships and marine distribution channels.
He joins Chaucer from Marsh Marine and Energy in London whom he joined in 1995, initially as head of marine cargo at Bowring and ultimately becoming the CEO of the Marsh Marine and Energy Operation. Marsh appointed Voke as practice leader for Europe, Middle East and Africa in 2006.
Commenting on his new appointment, Andrew Voke said: "I am delighted to be joining Chaucer and look forward to working with Bruce Bartell and the rest of Syndicate 1084's underwriting team on the strategic development of the Marine Division. I believe that my broking experience will be complementary to the existing skills within Chaucer's highly respected underwriting teams."
Bruce Bartell, Active Underwriter, Syndicate 1084 added: "Attracting someone of Andrew's calibre to head our Marine Division is a tremendous coup for Chaucer. We will benefit hugely from his knowledge and expertise, particularly in developing our distribution in overseas markets in conjunction with the broking community."
Voke is expected to join Chaucer in early 2008.
