CDL has developed Motor Breakdown, a roadside rescue product, in conjunction with Assure Assisitance and underwritten by Axa.

The new product is fully supported by CDL's Classic sofware, allowing brokers to add service to their existing motor insurance products.

CDL's general manager, Rick Slater, said that it was the first time that CDL had offered a product of this kind to its broking community and was confident that it would be a strong addition to CDL's product set.

Mr Slater added: "We believe it is a highly competitive product in comparison to other leading roadside assistance services that will add real value and increase profitability for CDL brokers."

"We launched a series of successful new products and services to our broking community in 2005, including our internet aggregator solution and print consultancy service. CDL Motor Breakdown is our first for 2006 and represents a simple additional revenue stream for intermediaries."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
