Graham Sims to lead division.
Cassidy Davis, the specialist personal lines Lloyd’s insurer, has announced the appointment of Graham Sims to head its Accident and Health (A&H) division to strengthen and expand its offerings to regional brokers and Lloyd’s.
Sims will assume full responsibility for managing and developing the division, a core business for Cassidy Davis, covering a range of product lines including bespoke group and individual personal accident, sickness and travel insurances, as well as the development of new products. He will also be responsible for the expansion of the team in the future.
Sims joins from Impact Underwriting Limited (Impact), part of the Creechurch Underwriting Group and owned by Canopius Managing Agents which he established in 2000. Sims has worked in the A&H sector for over 30 years and has previously worked for Cigna and Independent Insurance.
Chris Biles, active underwriter, Cassidy Davis, said: “Graham’s appointment is significant news in the development of our A&H business. His expertise and track record in the sector is exceptional and he will play an important role in building our offering going forward.”
Graham Sims said: “Cassidy Davis’s commitment to the A&H sector together with their strong service capability and resources made this a very compelling opportunity. Alongside expanding streams of distribution, I am keen to exploit the many synergies that exist between A&H and other areas of the business.”
Cassidy Davis will be announcing further appointments for the A&H division in the coming months in a move to grow the team and develop A&H business outside of the traditional London subscription market into a wide range of schemes and covers for both Lloyd's and regional brokers.
