Warranty and insurance specialist reaches personal record after three decades

Motor warranty and insurance specialist Car Care Plan sold more than 1 million policies during 2007, the first time annual sales have topped seven figures.

The results, revealed by Managing Director Paul Newton, show an increase in excess of 10% over 2006, which was itself a record year for the company.

The growth came from all product lines, and in both the core UK and overseas markets.

“It took us well over ten years to sell our first million products after being founded in 1976, and now we have achieved that figure in one year alone,” said Newton.

“In addition to this strong result, CCP also added paintwork and upholstery protection as well as PPI to its product portfolio, which includes warranty, MOT insurance, and tyre and GAP insurance.

“CCP’s continued growth is directly attributable to the quality of the staff and quality of service provided to our increasing customer base.”

Newton, who was appointed MD of Yorkshire-based CCP in 2005, added: “It has taken us three decades to reach a million annual sales, but as market leader we will not be complacent as we seek to improve even further the products we offer to our customers.”
