Following its UK success, insurance verification specialist British Weather Services (BWS) is extending its lightning strike verification scope into the rest of Europe.
The system uses radar and other proven methodology to verify lightning cases.
BWS says that the warming climate is giving rise to an ever-increasing number of lightning incidents.
Managing director Jim Dale said that the service had proved a big hit with UK insurers who wanted to accurately validate the rising tide of lightning damage instances.
