New prize structure means there will be more winners than ever before for the Aviva Broker Community Fund 2014
Brokers still have time to enter a competition to win a share of an Aviva £100,000 prize fund for their local communities.
The Aviva Broker Community Fund 2014 is open to all brokers so they can nominate a good cause in their local community and then win much-need money.
The community fund, now in its fourth year, has backed numerous good causes across the country and also seen brokers strengthen links with their local communities.
But the clock is ticking on the chance to enter. The final closing date for nominations is 31 July and then judging beings.
Finalists are announced on 19 September and the hugely enjoyable finale event takes place on 4 November.
Finalists who are rugby fans can mingle with the fund’s ambassador, former England international Will Greenwood.
Last year’s host, Aviva intermediary and partnerships director Phil Bayles, said: “It was a great success, very emotional, very uplifting and actually a lot of fun.
“It was a great mixture of all those things and I am left with pride that as an organisation we do something like the community fund to support our brokers.”
Details on how to enter
Brokers can nominate a good cause for each of the categories below:
- Supporting local sport
- Supporting health and disability issue for children
- Supporting health and disability issues for all ages
- Community support – supporting a project that benefits your local community
Aviva will then whittle down the broker entrants to six finalists for each of the four categories, meaning there will be a total of 24 finalists at the finale on 4 November.
Following feedback from brokers, Aviva has organised it so there are more winners than ever before.
Each finalist is guaranteed to take something back to their local communities.
This is because in each category there are six prizes for each of the six finalists.
The top prize is £10,000. The runner-up receives a £5,000 prize. The remaining four finalists take home £2,000 each.
For those that didn’t make it to the finale, Aviva is handing out 16 prizes of £500 to give away to those who submitted their application before 30 May.
But it’s not just money that is up for grabs.
Aviva is keen to show the ethos of the community fund is more than just the prize fund, it also giving brokers an opportunity to ask Aviva to support their local charities in other way such as with business mentors, volunteers, use of Aviva’s sponsorship assets and promotional resources.
