An online risk management system could help cut liability claims, the National Britannia Group has said.

Business development director Tony Ellis said the group's e-risk Manager system integrated risk management with everyday business management.

The system, which is accompanied by visits by risk consultants and a 24-hour helpline, automatically prompts managers to ensure risk checks are not forgotten.

Two insurers have just signed a business partnering deal with the group, which should cut the cost of policing compliance to risk management best practice.

"With ever-escalating liability claims, especially those for personal injury, and the increasing scale of fines and penalties by the courts for breaches of legislation, it's the business tool of the moment," Ellis said.
