Brit backs Lucas Fettes classic car scheme

Broker Lucas Fettes has launched a classic car scheme for the motor trade, underwritten by Brit Insurance.

Lucas Fettes has created a classic car team, based at the firm’s head office in London, headed up by Oliver Watts.

Watts has spent the last six years in the classic car insurance market.

Watts said: “Customers will receive value for money through the provision of an utterly relevant commercial policy tailored to their specific requirements – they will not be paying ‘over the odds’ for irrelevant cover, nor will their business be made vulnerable by being underinsured.

“Historically, the classic car market has too often been under or mis insured, due to a lack of understanding of the particular needs of each individual motor trader.

"Also, certain motor traders have experienced patterns to their claims history, which is costly to the bottom line as an excess has to be paid every time a claim is made.

" Lucas Fettes is able to analyse a customer’s claims history and identify and better manage areas of risk to avoid future similar claims.”
