Endurance Specialty Holdings, a Bermuda-based provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, today announced that Mark Boucher, chief executive officer of its London subsidiary, Endurance Worldwide Insurance Limited, has decided to retire from Endurance effective January 7 2007.
Daniel M. Izard, president and CEO of Endurance's Bermuda operating subsidiary, will act as interim chief executive officer of Endurance Worldwide until a successor is named.
Kenneth LeStrange, chairman, president and CEO of Endurance, commented: "Mark was one of Endurance's first employees, having joined the company in January of 2002, and was instrumental in establishing Endurance's presence in the London and international markets through the formation of Endurance Worldwide in December 2002 and nurturing its growth to the present.
"We sincerely wish Mark the very best in the future. Our London operation provides Endurance with a platform to access business which complements our portfolios in Bermuda and the United States. We will continue to optimise our positioning in this important segment of the market."
